Twitter Now Let You Verify Your Account And Get Blue Badge

It may have just become a little easier to get the blue check mark on Twitter.

The company has just announced that they are opening applications to apply for verification on the platform. As a refresher, being verified gives users a blue check mark on their profile to “let people know that an account of public interest is authentic”.

Typically, this means celebrities, journalists, athletes, politicians and other high-profile figures that are likely to be impersonated on Twitter. While being verified gives you a few special features like a verified-only notification feed (to see notifications from other verified accounts), it doesn’t fundamentally change the Twitter experience.

In the announcement the company said that 187,000 users are currently verified on the platform, which is about .06% of the company’s 310M monthly active users.

The company did previously let users apply for verification, but pulled the feature years ago – probably after being inundated with unworthy applications. Since then verification has been manually done at Twitter’s own discretion, until today.

In order to be verified, users will have to make sure their account has a verified phone number and email address, bio, profile picture, birthday and website.

The company also said they will ask you to tell them why you should be verified, and potentially ask for a government-issued ID to confirm your identity.

It seems that the move to open applications is designed to help identify creators and influences that should be verified, but Twitter hasn’t been able to find on their own. According to Twitter’s VP of User Services Tina Bhatnagar, the move is part of a larger move to help “people finding great, high-quality accounts to follow, and for these creators and influencers to connect with a broader audience”.

With AppInstitute’s real-time tracker, you can see Pokémon Go’s total revenue from the moment you’ve opened the page. Not only that, it shows you the total number of downloads by country as well as the average time each iOS user spends trying to “catch ‘em all.”

I assure you, the figures you are going to see will be mind-blowing.

Within two minutes or so from being on the page, the total revenue that Niantic pocketed from Pokémon Go was roughly $22,000. And it took merely around four minutes for the total revenue to surpass the $40,000 mark.

According to AppInstitute, the average time that an iOS user spends on Pokémon is a little over 30 minutes, which easily surpasses other top mobile apps such as Facebook and Snapchat by a great margin. It also boasts the most peak daily active users, reaching 24 million. Yes, it has overtaken even the almighty Candy Crush Saga.

All this is even more extraordinary given the fact that Pokémon Go was released just earlier this month and has not even reached every country yet.

Specification, features and price of Moto E3 with 5-inch HD display, Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Motorola, which is now owned by Lenovo, has announced the entry-level Mote E3 smartphone. It brings much-needed hardware upgrades compared to its predecessor. Running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, one of the key highlights of the smartphone is the 5-inch HD display, quad-core processor, smudge-resistant screen protector and slightly larger capacity battery.

Moto E3 Price

The Moto E3 is priced at $131 in the US (£99 in the UK), which roughly translates to Rs 8,900. At this price point the smartphone will compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy On5 Pro, Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus, Intex Aqua View and Panasonic Eluga A2. Interestingly, the Moto G4 Play which was recently launched in India is priced at Rs 8,999. Moto E-series has always been the entry-level smartphone priced around Rs 5,999, with Moto G series priced slightly upwards of Rs 10,000. It will be interesting to see how aggressive Motorola can get with the pricing when it launches the Moto E3 in India.

Moto E3 Specifications

The smartphone flaunts a slightly larger 5-inch IPS HD (720p) display, compared to 4.5-inch one on the Moto E (2015). It follows the same trend as the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus, which comes with a 5.5-inch display compared to 5-inch one on the predecessor, the Moto G (2015). Under the hood, the Moto E3 is powered by a quad-core processor. However, there is no word on whether it is a Qualcomm or MediaTek chipset. Also, while details about the amount of RAM and onboard storage are missing, the smartphone does include a microSD card slot for further expansion.

Motorola has also worked on the camera chops giving the new Moto E3 the much-needed upgrade. It now sports an 8-megapixel rear camera compared to 5-megapixel on the previous generation, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. Armed with a 2,800mAh battery, connectivity options on the smartphone include Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS and dual-SIM 4G LTE. The Moto E3 also features a splash-proof body to protect it from accidental spills. This is one feature that had been there on the earlier Moto G and Moto E smartphones, but was missing from the latest Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus.

The smartphone is set to go on sale in the US sometime in September, TheVerge reports. However, there is no word on when it will be available in India.

I know you guys really enjoyed Airtel N0.00 tweak posted here few weeks back, before Airtel ceased the server, but I'm glad to inform you that, we had dig out another active proxy server, for you to resume your Airtel unlimited surfing without paying a dime. I would brief you guys with new Airtel free browsing setting via Psiphon Handler, Sypon Shield, Pronet or Netify VPN.

Follow the steps below accordingly and you are good to surf unlimited with Airtel Sim.

Materials Needed

» You can use your installed Psiphon Handler, NetifyVpn, or download Sypon Shield

Take Note of This: Make sure you don't put any airtime on your Airtel sim, you must not be on any active data plan, also, clear your Psiphon or any other vpn data and cache.

Set your phone APN to the default.

Then Launch Sypon Shield or Psiphon Handler, in the handler menu:

» Mark remove port

» Proxy type: Reverse Proxy

» Proxy server: bit.ly/Airtel-wlcma

» Real Proxy Type: HTTP or Inject

Real Proxy Port: 3128

» Hit the Save button

» Immediately you click save, a pop up message will appear requesting to use Tunnel whole device, just tap on the option to Tunnel Whole Device and it will take you to the next phase

» Choose the Option Menu

» Under this Option menu, you will see Select Region, tap and select USA

» Go to your More Option settings and check “Connect through an HTTP Pro” then select “Use the following settings:” then configure as.

» Host address: 94.23.200.49

» Port: 3128

» Go back now to the main page of the Psiphon and tap the start button below, wait for few seconds for it to Connect. Then, fire up any browser and any other apps.

Here is another working setting, if the first one doesn't work for you, try this;

» Mark remove port

» Proxy type: Real Host

» Proxy server: free.facebook.com/zero_balance_redirect?operator=airtel_ng

» Real Proxy Type: Inject

Real Proxy Port: 80

» Hit the Save button

» Immediately you click save, a pop up message will appear requesting to use Tunnel whole device, just tap on the option to Tunnel Whole Device and it will take you to the next phase

» Choose the Option Menu

» Under this Option menu, you will see Select Region, tap and select USA

» Go to your More Option settings and untick connect through HTTP Proxy

» Go back now to the main page of the Psiphon and tap the start button below, wait for few seconds for it to Connect. Then, fire up any browser and any other apps. Enjoy it while it last.
